Dear Father Peter

On behalf of all in San Raniero, Civita di Bagno, I am writing to thank you and your parishioners most sincerely for the wonderful gifts, musical instruments, computers, toys, clothes and statues which were delivered to us by lorry just before Christmas. Your generosity and kindness in our time of need have significantly raised our spirits and have enabled us to look to the future in hope and gratutude.

Thank you also for sparing Malcolm and Felicity from your parish family to spend Christmas with us. It was wonderful to have them here with us. They distributed the presents from St Joseph's to the children on Christmas morning and presented the guitars, keyboards and violins to the music liturgy group, as well as handing over your Youth Club's portfolio and gifts to our youth leaders. The joy and delight on the faces of our young people and their parents were a pleasure to behold, particularly in view of the suffering they have all experienced this year. Thank you for making their Christmas a memorable one for all the right reasons.

We are all very grateful to St Joseph's, our twinned parish, for the support and comfort you have given us over the past months. Please be assured of our continued prayers and please remember us in your daily Masses and prayers. We look forward to developing still further the friendship between our two parishes and hope very much to be able to welcome a group from St Joseph's to San Raniero in the not too distant future.

May the Lord bless and reward you all.
With affection,
Fr Gerald Abuachi
